The EUM has been deployed across a wide range of organizations – Indian and multinational companies and not-for-profit entities. EUM practitioners have used the framework and the tools in India, China, Philippines, Spain and the UAE. Individual respondents have been from a wider range of nationalities. The framework is non-normative and does not hold a priori stances on what is desirable at the individual and collective levels. The emphasis is on understanding phenomena ‘as is’, relying on dialogue amongst the relevant individuals and groups, and invoking their inherent wisdom and choice-making capacities. This makes it eminently suitable for use across diverse contexts.
